235 years old today

Posted on 2010-11-10 04:59:38

I am sure most of you know that I was lucky enough to have earned the title United States Marine 14 years ago. I've told many that this is the greatest accomplishment of my life. This one act in my life has lead me to more opportunities than any other decision or choice I have made. The 13 weeks I spent at Parris Island, South Carolina not only earned me a title that no one can take away, but it gave me the self discipline, belief in myself, and the determination to accomplish any goal before me. These traits that were instilled in me through sweat, blood and tears have lead to me to where I am today, making a positive impact in other peoples lives. I am grateful for the opportunity that each and everyone of you give me to be a positive part of your health care.

Today is the 235th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Along with wishing my fellow Marines a Happy Birthday, I want to announce that the clinic will be participating in Toys for Tots program this year. The donation boxes will be in within the week and I am asking you to help out, donate if possible and bring a child a new toy. I know we have all experienced some financial difficulties over the past couple of years, but this is our opportunity to be a positive force in someone else's life.

Happy Birthday Marines!
